What is a dimension ?

A dimension allows you to categorise your data. For example, imagine that you go grocery shopping (again!). We are buying tomato, so we can probably group our tomatoes by size, by color, by weight, and so on. These are dimensions, are they allow use to put our tomatoes into different groups.
